Nancy Lysle McBerty of Oxford
Nancy Lysle McBerty, 86, of Oxford, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Ware Presbyterian Village. She was the wife of the late Frank R. McBerty who passed away in 2009 and with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Born in West Grove, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Marion Wilkinson Lysle. Nancy and Frank started their farm on Saginaw Road in 1955 and enjoyed raising their family there. She was a lifetime member of New London Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon, sang in the choir and was active in the Women’s Circle. For twelve years, she was a secretary at the University of Delaware. Nancy volunteered at the Jennersville Regional Hospital for many years. She was a member of New London Antique Club and enjoyed going to antique sales, gardening and being with family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Null and her husband, Samuel of Oxford and Jane Lysle McBerty Carter and her husband, Willard of Dagsboro, Del. She was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Matthew Carter. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, October 28 at New London Presbyterian Church, 1986 Newark Road (Rt. 896), New London, PA 19360, where her funeral service will be held at 12 noon.
